SMART BUSINESS CORPORATION S.A.C. is an International Freight Forwarder. The Company considers the prevention of illicit activities in the performance of its processes as one of its primary objectives. In this regard, it commits to maintaining the following principles:
PREVENT
To maintain a BASC Control and Security Management System, promoting security throughout the supply chain in order to prevent illicit activities within operational processes and deter criminal acts such as drug trafficking, terrorism, money laundering, corruption, bribery, or any other unlawful conduct that may affect employees and business continuity.
COMPLY
To carry out ongoing actions aimed at complying with legal obligations and regulatory requirements related to BASC, as well as voluntarily adopted best practices and standards.
ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY
To ensure the effectiveness of the BASC Management System through the proper allocation of roles and responsibilities within operational and administrative processes. In this regard, the Company commits to complying with all prevention and control policies, processes, and procedures, including the full execution of responsibilities established in management instruments and job descriptions.
PARTICIPATE AND CONSULT
To ensure that employees actively participate in the development of the BASC Management System by assuming their respective responsibilities within work processes, and by promoting security in the use of information technologies.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
To commit to the continuous improvement and effectiveness of the BASC Management System by establishing objectives and periodically reviewing performance results.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
To adequately train and educate all employees and individuals performing work within the Company in accordance with BASC standards and regulations.
COMMUNICATE
To inform all employees and business associates of the implemented BASC Policy, as well as the procedures and standards of the BASC Management System.
